چکیده

این آسیب‌پذیری مربوط به عملکردی ناشناخته در درایور سیستم کلاس ویدئویی USB است.  ایجاد تغییرات در ورودی منجر به وقوع دسترسی خارج از محدوده (out-of-bounds) می‌شود. حمله  از طریق این آسیب‌پذیری می‌تواند بر روی دستگاه به صورت فیزیکی انجام شود یعنی، برای سوء استفاده از این آسیب پذیری، یک مهاجم احراز هویت نشده باید یک دستگاه USB مخرب را به صورت فیزیکی به دستگاه قربانی متصل کند.

توضیحات

این آسیب پذیری در دسته CWE-125 طبقه‌بندی شده است. در این آسیب پذیری، محصول داده‌ها را از انتهای بافر یا قبل از ابتدای آن می‌خواند. این موضوع می‌تواند بر محرمانگی، یکپارچگی و در دسترس بودن سیستم تاثیر داشته باشد. این آسیب‌پذیری به‌راحتی قابل اکسپلویت است. حمله باید به‌طور محلی(Local) انجام شود و نیازی به احراز هویت ندارد.

 نتیجه گیری

مهاجمی که به‌طور موفقیت‌آمیز از این آسیب‌پذیری سوءاستفاده کند و موفق به اکسپلویت کردن آن شود، می‌تواند دسترسی سطح سیستم (SYSTEM privileges) را به دست آورد لذا برای جلوگیری از هرگونه نفوذ بهتر است از موارد بروزرسانی شده استفاده کنید.
